Ben Line Bangladesh – Climbing to New Heights

As part of Ben Line’s 200th anniversary celebrations, we set our sights on Keokradong, the highest peak in Bangladesh. The name “Ben Line” itself signifies the “top” or “peak” – a fitting symbol for this milestone occasion.

A team of 10 colleagues from across Liner, Freight Solutions, Integrated Logistics (IL) and Marine Services (MS) came together for the journey. After a 10-hour drive to Bandarban, and a rugged transfer to the base of the hike, we began our ascent. Narrow winding roads, steep inclines and heavy monsoon rains made both the approach and the climb a test of endurance and determination.

Although military restrictions prevented us from summiting Keokradong due to weather and safety concerns, we redirected our efforts to Tazing Dong, another prominent peak. The climb was demanding – slippery paths, mud and constant rain pushed us to our limits – but the reward was worth it. From the summit, the view was nothing short of spectacular.

This climb was more than an adventure. It symbolised Ben Line’s 200-year journey: resilience, teamwork and the determination to keep reaching for new heights. The Ben Line Bangladesh team carried our spirit forward, honouring our past while looking confidently to the future.
