Celebrating 200 years: Ben Line Anniversary Recap

The Ben Line 200-year anniversary event in Singapore on Friday, October 17th, 2025, was a powerful reminder of our history and the strength of our community. We were honoured to host an evening with past and present staff, cherished customers, and dedicated partners. This milestone served as a tribute to Ben Line's two centuries of legacy, firmly establishing that people remain the true core of our organisation.

Some highlights of the evening include hearing from the Group’s Honorary President, William Thomson and our Chairman, Graham Barclay, on the enduring power of our core values and our ability to adapt and change. Our Group CEO, Kristian Vandermeer, also spoke warmly of Ben Line's rich history and the responsibility that the current generation of Ben Line people have, to take the company into the next century. A special mention to Dan Putterman, who entertained us with humorous anecdotes about his fascinating journey of collecting stories and photos for our new company book, "The Phoenix of the Seas"!
