On 8th May, Jonnie made the hike up to Dunkery Beacon on Exmoor, proudly carrying a self-made Ben Line flag and wearing a commemorative Ben Line T-shirt. He was accompanied by his daughter, Emma Sophie, and her husband for this meaningful ascent, celebrating our 200th year anniversary. The view in the distance captures the Bristol Channel and the coastline of Wales.

This personal pilgrimage was made in honour of the upcoming Ben Vorlich hike in Scotland on 5th June, with Jonnie sending his warmest wishes to all those taking part.

Jonnie joined Ben Line in 1971, transitioning from the haulage industry to help pioneer our containerised transport operations. He played a key role in establishing haulage operations across Asia and was instrumental in the founding of Ben Line Agencies, including securing agency rights for Blue Star Lines.

We salute Jonnie for his enduring spirit and continued pride in the Ben Line legacy.
