As we sail into 2025, we are proud to announce the Bicentennial Year of Ben Line!

In 1825, two Scottish brothers, Alexander and William Thomson, opened an account as ship brokers in Edinburgh in 1825. Shortly thereafter they became ship owners and ushered in the beginning of what would ultimately become the Ben Line Group and our existing Agencies and Logistics business. Remarkably, the Thomson family remains active in the current Ben Line business after 200 years.

Over the past two centuries, we’ve navigated the changing tides of global trade, establishing ourselves as a trusted partner in shipping, logistics, and agency services. We owe our success to our talented team, loyal clients, and the enduring values that have shaped our journey: Respectful & Fair, Considerate & Understanding.
